Oral Infections Center

Periodontal disease is the inflammation and infection of gum tissue. It occurs in two forms: the more treatable gingivitis and the more severe periodontitis. Infections can lead to abscessed teeth and gums. Treatments include full-mouth debridement and gum surgery treatments such as gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, gingival flap surgery, soft-tissue grafts and crown lengthening.
