Biography:
An internationally known Vascular Surgeon, Dr. Deaton received his M.D. in 1985 from Duke University Medical School. He completed his residency in surgery and a research fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a vascular surgery fellowship and research fellowship at UCLA Center for Health Sciences at Los Angeles. He is currently Chief of Endovascular Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Deaton participated in all phases of the animal and clinical research that led to the development and approval of the first endovascular aortic graft in the United States. He is active in the training and education of physicians in with endovascular aortic grafting and other new technologies. Dr. Deaton currently assists five medical device manufactures with clinical trials and product development. He has published numerous articles and has presented his research findings around the world.
